Emotional Freedom Technique

EFT, is based on the premise that 'all negative emotion is caused by a disruption in the body's energy system'. This technique was founded by Gary Craig of www.emofree.com. Gary has  now retired and is wished.a long and fulfilling retirement.

EFT uses the meridian end points and is like acupuncture but without needles. Certain points are tapped using just the fingertips, while repeating a script. We have already seen some amazing results with this therapy. It is gentle, quick and can be learned easily so that it can be applied any time it is needed without a therapist there. It can also be used via telephone with a therapist, providing there has been a one to one already and that the person is familiar with the tapping points. It can be effective for stress, anxiety, phobias, addictions, cravings, non-mechanical pain, post traumatic stress and depression.

EFT still is a highly unconventional method and yet it is completely safe, being based on balancing the natural flow of the body's energy system. Sometimes the technique works incredibly fast, sometimes it requires persistence.

The Procedure:

Doing this procedure will appear very odd and look and feel very strange!! However it gets results, so persevere with it despite how it looks!

The first thing to understand is that you will be tapping with your fingers. There are a number of acupuncture meridians on your fingertips, and when you tap with your fingertips you areCouple full of health and jumping for joy also likely using not only the meridians you are tapping on, but also the ones on your fingers. Ideally, you will want to use your fingertips, not your finger pads as they have more meridian points. However, if you are a woman with long fingernails you should of course use your finger pads (otherwise you may end up stabbing yourself). You will use the index and middle finger of your dominant hand (right hand if you are right handed and vice versa for the left). You should tap firmly but not so hard as to hurt yourself.

Before beginning you should focus in on your problem or area you are wishing to work on and give that an intensity score of 0 being comfortable or free from problem to 10 being the worst.

You then find the 'sore spot'. This is an area in the chest where the lymph drains, and is more tender to the touch than a the rest of the area. The sore spot is rubbed firmly with your finger tips and you repeat the words 'even though I have this (insert problem), I deeply and completely accept myself' Do this three times.

Then using the tapping points shown below, begin to tap, saying the 'reminder phrase' this problem as you tap on each point. Tap between 5–7 times on each point.

There are other points for different problems, but this should be effective to help with things like headaches, tension, worry, etc.

After each round re-evaluate your intensity score and keep repeating until you get to a zero.
